Hi folks, my first blog post for the new year and new decade. Happy New Year to you all. This is a job I shot last year for the comparison website Uchoose.ie. Some of you may remember the press advertisements a couple of months ago (in Ireland that is!).

As well as shooting all the photography for press and poster, the client needed at least 12 to 15 frames per second of the Sandwich Board characters moving about, which would then be cut together to create an animated piece for web and viral marketing. To make life a lot easier for all concerned, I was able to shoot this part of the job in HD digital video with the Canon 5D Mark 2.

By combining the stills for press and poster, and the video for the web and viral part of the campaign in one day, this saved a lot of time and money. And eliminated the need for a second person to shoot the video. All round, a very happy agency and client. Plus an exciting little campaign to boot. Click on “Sandwich Board Chorus” below to see the characters in “action”. You can compose your own tune and try to win a few quid at the same time.
